How to apply
The process for job applications made to West Midlands LGA is:
• View the relevant job information, which will include a job description and person specification.
• Complete and submit the online application form prior to the closing date. See the “How to apply” section for detailed information.
• Applicants who are successful in being invited to interview will be notified, in writing, at least five working days before the interview date. The letter will not only state the date and time of the interview but will also indicate if any other forms of assessment (e.g. presentation, in-tray tests) will be carried out.
• Due to the high volumes of applications which can be received, applicants who are not selected for interview will not be contacted. Therefore, if you have not heard with regard to your application by the interview date, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
• Following the interview, all candidates will be notified, by telephone, of the panel’s decision as to whether or not they have been selected for appointment. Offers of appointment will be made subject to satisfactory health checks and references.
• It is usual for each vacancy to have contact details of an officer at WMLGA who can be approached if you have any queries regarding your application. Alternatively, please contact the Admin Team at West Midlands LGA on 0121 678 1010 who will be able to forward your query to the relevant person.
