Location and lifestyle: The Borough is essentially rural in character and includes many small villages. There are two main towns, Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter. Burton has a population of 66,000. Uttoxeter, with a population of 12,000 and is the area’s second town.

Centrally located, with all major cities easily within a day’s return journey time. By road, the town of Burton upon Trent spans across the A38, providing easy access to the motorway network. By rail, Burton upon Trent provides direct connections to all major UK conurbations, including London via Derby. Uttoxeter is served by a Derby to Stoke service with most trains continuing through to Manchester International Airport.
