We are the local authority for Worcestershire’s biggest town, serving a borough-wide population of approximately 80,000 people. We employ around 900 people and are proud of the support and benefits we provide our employees.

Redditch is just five miles from the M42, Birmingham International Airport is 30 minutes drive and there is a direct rail link to Birmingham New Street.

Just a few miles from our town centre is an award-winning country park complete with a one and a half mile-long sailing lake, there are five million trees dotted around the area, you can enjoy a top ten shopping centre, and best of all there’s little or no traffic congestion here given our highways road system that quickly takes you around our compact Borough of 54 square miles.

Our friendly and welcoming Council provides a diverse range of services. Among them is our nationally recognised Shopmobility scheme, eco friendly homes and a strong commitment to the environment and landscape maintenance – Redditch is one of the UK’s 10 most improved recyclers.
