Learning and Development
The Council is committed to the investment of time and financial resources to support the training and development of its employees to enable them to make a positive contribution to the effectiveness of the Council’s services and to develop their full potential in employment.
Training and development activities are not restricted to course based training programmes or training to gain qualifications, but encompass attendance at Seminars and Conferences, open learning activities, planned work experience, on the job instruction, job rotation, secondment, coaching and mentoring schemes.
We will use information and data we hold on our staff to ensure that we are able to plan targeted training and development plans.
We seek to increase the number of new people coming into Redditch Borough Council including young people by creating opportunities through apprenticeships, schemes, recruitment fairs and engaging with schools to raise the positive profile of local government careers and promote the Council as an employer of choice.
