Learning and Development
The Council is committed to the investment of resources and is fully supportive of developing its employees to their full potential in employment, which enables them to make a positive contribution to the effectiveness of the Council’s services.
Right at the beginning of your employment with North Warwickshire Borough Council your manager will take you through a comprehensive induction. At this early stage any training and development needs will be identified and you will have your own plan, which your manager will support and monitor with you through the Supported Employment process.
The process doesn’t stop here and is ongoing throughout your employment. Training and development needs are identified through the Council’s appraisal scheme. At the appraisal the manager and the employee identify the most appropriate activity to meet the need. This can be course based training programmes, vocational programmes, seminars or conferences, reading, planned work experience or on the job instruction.
