Introduction to wmjobs
Wmjobs is a jobs and careers portal which has been established for the West Midlands by a consortium of local authorities across the region. The website is designed to provide job seekers with an unrivalled job search experience – making it easy, through one website, to search and apply for jobs throughout local government in the region.
The website also offers generic local government career information and facts about living and working in the West Midlands.
Wmjobs statement on advertising
“It has been agreed that this is a not-for-profit portal. Any income generated will be invested into the development and marketing of the portal. We will not ask for it to generate income from other Local Authorities or Partners. Any additional entrants to the site will be consistent with the values and ethos of Local Government service delivery. We will be mindful of our customers and their views on how we utilise the portal to advertise therefore the site will be user friendly, easy to access, clear and concise.”
Who can advertise on wmjobs?
As wmjobs has been established by, and is managed by Local Government, advertisers must comply with the above statement. All organisations who wish to advertise on the portal will be considered providing they do not fall into one of the following categories:
a) An organisation which may be deemed as offensive to anyone on the grounds of diversity (i.e. age, disability, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation)
b) An organisation which promotes a particular political party
c) An organisation which does not provide services within the West Midlands.
d) An organisation wishing to promote employment or activities outside of the West Midlands.
e) An organisation promoting anything which may be deemed as socially irresponsible.
Production of the advertising banner
Advertising is solely in one place on the portal (top right hand corner). The banner is visible at the top of every page on the site. By a user clicking on the banner, it will take them to the advertiser's website.
The banner required is:
500 x 50 pixels
Static or Rotational
The banner can be provided by the organisation or produced by Tribal at a cost (see below).
