Job Details
The Governors of Warley Infant and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join our happy and successful school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which is ambitious for the success of all, where children have positive attitudes and a love of learning and where staff are valued and well supported by parents, the leadership team and governors.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• provide specialist financial support to ensure the effective operation of the school
• work closely with senior leaders to ensure budget is effectively used to support school improvement
• be familiar with, and have an understanding of, the responsibilities and requirements of the post including; finance, grant bidding process, HR, health and safety, line managing staff and facilities management
• work under pressure, managing priorities
• be well organised, efficient and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
• possess excellent ICT skills
• use initiative when dealing with the day to day running of a busy school office
We welcome applications from candidates who have substantial experience in a finance role willing to undertake the Diploma for School Business Managers (DSBM) or current School Business Managers who have the appropriate qualification. A knowledge of PFI, Microsoft Office, SIMS, FMS is desirable.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.
