About Colton Hills Community School

Colton Hills Community School is a mixed, non-denominational community secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.

The school is supported by Wolverhampton City Council, has over 900 pupils, and was formerly known by three other names: Wolverhampton Municipal Grammar School, Graiseley Secondary School, and Penn Secondary Modern. It was established in 1974.  The Headteacher is Mr A Otero.

Colton Hills Community School is a highly regarded 11-18 Community School judged by OFSTED to be a ‘GOOD’ school in May 2015.  The school encompasses a rich and harmonious multicultural community and is committed to the development of all students with the majority staying on in the sixth form.

Our motto at Colton Hills Community School is: Learn, Grow and Achieve Together. It describes the school’s aims to recognise that every student should be challenged to succeed, and every student should be supported to do so.
