Eagle's Nest Project is an Alternative Provision Charity set up in 2014 to work with young people aged 11-18 who struggle to effectively engage in a mainstream setting, often as a result of early childhood adversity or trauma.

Using portfolio-based qualifications to deliver a number of practical and vocational courses, the overarching aim is to support young people to develop their emotional regulation skills to equip them for future success. Building self-esteem, resilience and aspirations are a significant part of all programmes with staff: student ratios of at least 1:2 on almost all programmes.

With an excellent reputation for engaging the hardest to reach young people, Eagle's Nest has many success stories and has built a strong reputation with Virtual Schools across a range of Local Authorities for the therapeutic approach that provides bespoke solutions for each young person.

The Christian roots of the charity mean that there is an embedded ethos to never give up on a child, believing in each as a uniquely gifted young person who needs the help and support to find their own strengths. Students of all faiths and none are welcomed and accepted for who they are, then supported to move towards becoming the best version of themselves. No young person is “kicked out”, rather they are held accountable for the choices they make and supported to try again, recognising that these young people have often faced repeated rejection by the time they arrive at Eagle’s Nest. We exist to show them a different way – they have value to bring and we want to see it.
