About Great Dawley Town Council

Great Dawley Town Council was formed in 1988 and is the parish authority for Dawley and Malinslee, with a population of approximately 12,000 and an electorate of 8545.  The Town Council is divided into two wards, Dawley and Malinslee and has a total of fourteen members divided equally between the two wards.  The Council is administered from Great Dawley Town Council offices at Dawley Town Hall, New Street, in the heart of Dawley District Centre.  The Town Council has a number of responsibilities and services it delivers for the local community and these items are paid through the annual precept and budget setting process.
