Senior Support Worker

Dudley Council has been transforming the way it delivers adult social care and is investing in a multi-million pound package of adult social care and health initiatives for the most vulnerable.
We are looking to recruit a number of posts on a temporary basis to help support this transformation of supporting our ageing and disabled population.
Hours: 37 hours
Post: 1 x Temporary Senior Support Worker (initially for 3 months with the possibility of an extension)
Required with drive and enthusiasm who wants to make a difference to the lives of the residents in Dudley. You will need experience of working with adults in a social care setting.
Your role will be supporting a community care service providing person centred support and opportunities for people and their carers.
Main duties will include taking delegated responsibility to enable people to be supported at home with their daily living activities.
You will look after a team of designated staff in order to meet the requirements of service initiatives and developments, including all legislative standards, e.g. CQC, Care Act.
You will be involved in assisting in managing the demand for care capacity and ensuring safe discharge and care provision.
37 hours will be worked on a set rota to include weekends, evenings and bank holidays for which relevant enhancements will be paid.
You may need to work flexibly, travelling across the Dudley borough and will therefore need to hold a valid full driving licence and have the use of a vehicle.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
