Required for September 2021

Teaching Assistant (26.25 hours per week, term time only, temporary until 21 July 2022)

Barnfields Primary is recognised as a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted, and is on an exciting venture, alongside Leasowes Primary, as part of the South East Stafford Academy Trust.

At Barnfields, we have high expectations of all our children, both academically and socially. Our vision is driven by our school motto of 'Believe and Achieve'. Academic excellence runs alongside sporting and artistic excellence. Job Reference Number (Office Use Only)

The whole child is nurtured as positive wellbeing is encouraged and supported, enabling them to make outstanding progress across the curriculum. This learning is underpinned by strong values (reflection, respect, positivity, responsibility and resilience) that encourage and guide the children through the rest of their academic journey and as citizens of the future.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant (subject to pre-employment clearance) who has a passion for supporting teaching and learning in an enthusiastic and inspirational manner. We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is committed to providing the very best outcomes for children, who has the drive to continually improve and evolve their practice and go above and beyond to impact our school.

The role will have a particular focus on working one-to-one with a child every morning, enabling them to access the curriculum individually and alongside their peers. The successful candidate will then be working alongside class teachers in the afternoon, supporting groups of children with their learning.

The role will require the successful candidate to demonstrate:
 Strong literacy and numeracy skills
 Flexibility to work with all age groups
 Excellent organisational skills
 Excellent communication skills
 A kind, caring and nurturing approach to the children
 A high standard of professional conduct
 The ability to work effectively under the guidance of the teacher
 The willingness to take part in all aspects of school life

In return, we can offer a supportive community of parents and Governors and delightful children who are willing to learn. It is essential that candidates wholeheartedly believe in and embrace our school values, as they form the core foundations of everything we achieve at Barnfields.
