LD service is delivered in the community and linked to LD transition team and PFA service. This service is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Officers, enablement assistants and social workers. LD enablement team is also joint working with Travel Assist to promote independence and support reduction of the travel costs for travel to school by completing travel training with children with Learning Disabilities To work with younger adults were mostly around money management, traveling to the college, managing household tasks and community engagements. Promoting independence and supporting adults with LD back in the community.

In order to meet the needs of Enablement service, which operates 365 days per year, it is an essential requirement of the job that post-holders are able to work flexibly. This will regularly include working between the hours 7.00am – 7.00pm
