Fixed Term contract required for 18 months from start date
For existing employees this opportunity is being offered as a secondment, subject to eligibility criteria
Fixed term posts for 18 months
One youth worker post to work with Peer researchers across Birmingham to enable young people to be a part of a social action programme. Working with young people to recruit 150 changemakers and take young people on the journey of working with their peers, reaching 480 young people across Birmingham from diverse back grounds representing the City across its 15 youth centres.
Birmingham has recently seen a high volume of violence and it through this project we are looking to have young people make a difference and be a part of the change that young people find in their research.
The project requires meeting tight deadlines and achieving milestones and completing reports and sustaining the 12 peer researchers for the 18-month duration of the project.
To achieve Pre - determined targets
Ability to build effective relationships with young people and partners
Effective interpersonal skills in dealing with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
Ability to problem solve and deal with issues and challenges
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing. Competent in Information Technology.
JNC Qualified
Have substantive experience of managing a fixed term project achieving milestones
Safeguarding procedures and practise
Substantial experience in management and development of a youth project
Development of productive partnerships
Financial management
Challenging inappropriate behaviour of young people.
Ensure the effective participation of young people in the development of project
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
Achieving milestone.
