Dudley Council are seeking to recruit an Attendance Support Worker to work within their Inclusion Team. The successful applicant will work to motivate and inspire children who attend Alternative Educational Provision and focus on raising their attendance and engagement within the settings. The role will involve direct work with targeted children and young people (CYP), and support for their parents / carers and the Providers so that the pupil attends their placement on a daily basis.

Hours:  37 per week

Salary:  Grade 6

We are looking for someone to join the team who has excellent communication skills and the expertise to identify and reduce barriers that prevent good attendance.

We need someone who has the ability to work, using their own initiative and creativity, to develop strategies to support students to attend their Alternative Provision.

The role also requires partnership working, with a range of different agencies, to provide cohesive support for those targeted children.

The successful candidate will be based within our two commissioned Alternative Provisions and also attend some meetings at the Inclusion Team office. All sites are within Dudley but the role does require the flexibility to travel (car allowance available).
