We are currently recruiting for a full time experienced Senior Health and Safety Officer to work within our housing capital projects department to promote the Health and safety agenda across our business, while providing support to managers and colleagues on a wide range of HSE matters, both internally and on site.
You will be responsible for the management of a team of health and safety officers, covering various aspects of health and safety to include, CDM and Principal Designer, Asbestos Management and Fire Safety.
The role will involve assisting the team to ensure statutory compliance whilst having a hands-on approach to conduct site visits, provide training and prepare reports to present to internal and external stakeholders, including progress set KPIs.
To be successful in the role you should have relevant qualifications and recent and relevant Health and Safety experience within the sector and managing a team.
You will need a good knowledge of H&S legislation in all areas, plus the ability to interpret and apply it.
As a key member of the capital projects department there will be extensive liaison with external and internal stakeholders.
It is essential that candidates are able to drive and have the use of a car and be physically able to carry out site visits, climb ladders and scaffolds, etc as required.
