Residential School Support Worker
Grade 6 pts 9 - 15 £20,903 - £23,541 FTE
(Pro Rata’d for 37 hours, term time (190 days + 5 Inset days)
(£17,979 - £20,894 dependent upon length of service)
(The successful applicant will be required to undertake sleep in duties for which an additional payment will be made)

Shenstone Lodge is a successful split site provision for students experiencing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The Shenstone site is situated in 4½ acres of beautiful, rural grounds and currently educates students from Y2-Y7 on a residential and day basis.
The post advertised is based in the residential provision of the school. The team work alongside the school staff to support children to develop their social and emotional needs through a range of activities in the evening. The provision supports between 4 and 8 students an evening from Monday to Thursday, (the shifts are 2/3 late evening till 10pm, and involves 1 sleep in per week, for which an additional payment will be made), its term time only.
You will need to be a dedicated and enthusiastic team player who can support the pastoral needs of our residential children. Under the line management of the Head of Care, the post holder will plan and lead a range of engaging and purposeful activities for groups and individual children. You will also have key worker responsibilities for specific children be able to complete necessary documentation.
Ideally you will have experience of successfully managing and supporting children who express their needs with behaviours that challenge.
You will also work with children across the whole school as required.
The successful candidate will have a full UK driving license and be prepared, on occasions, to transport young people.
