Actual Salary : £11815 - £13351

25 hours, Tuesday – Friday 8.45 – 3.30 (Hours may be negotiable)

Our governors are seeking to appoint experienced, enthusiastic and committed Occupational Therapy Assistant to work with our children and young people.  At Abbey Hill we have 340+ pupils on roll, with a range of SEND including learning difficulties, communication & interaction difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions.  This is a wonderful opportunity for inspiring individuals with a good standard of Numeracy, Literacy & I.T.skills to work with our pupils to assist in the planning and implementation of therapeutic programmes tailored to our pupils with the framework laid down by the Occupational Therapist.

The successful candidate will:

Job Summary

  • Provide assistance in the day to day administration and clinical aspects of our Occupational Therapy curriculum / provision
  • Implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions for the pupils in activities relating to their programme under the direction of the Occupational Therapists. This will be running Occupational Therapy groups and individual sessions to support pupils in achieving their Occupational Therapy goals.
  • Plan a range of creative and meaningful group/individual activities and adapt these activities to meet the need of the pupils, which will involve a flexible approach.
