We are looking to recruit 1 full time Independent Reviewing Officer. the position is 37 hours per week and paid PO3 with 2 Market Forces increments, giving a total possible salary of £47,108 per annum. In addition to this you will also be eligible for an annual retention payment of £2,000 and a one off welcome payment also of £2,000*
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team in the Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service lead by Daniel Gray, Group Manager/Principal Social Worker. The Team is operationally managed by Sally Branchflower (Practice Manager for the Independent Reviewing Officers), the wider service includes Advanced Practitioners and Child protection and LADO chairs which are managed by two other Practice Managers. The team is well supported by our Business Support Team.
With a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to care planning for looked after children you will be responsible for independently chairing Looked after children reviews.
You will be an experienced and qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, who has a solid knowledge of policy, legislation, and good practice experience, and can demonstrate a strong commitment to strong multi-agency working and child focussed practice. You will have extensive experience of chairing complex and challenging meetings, the ability to manage difficult conversations and have a good understanding of looked after children and care planning.
