General teaching assistant in reception class supporting interventions and speech and language- 12 hours (two days) per week
We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant to support pupils in a classroom environment and to run a variety of interventions and programmes as required. Initially working with pupils in a KS1 Class, our ideal candidate will be able to work across the Primary age range and will need knowledge and experience of the early years curriculum and working with young children.
The post holder will need to be able to work on their own initiative and under the direction of the class teacher. It is desirable that the candidate will be educated to level 3 (NVQ) or equivalent and have a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Experience teaching phonics is desirable but otherwise, the candidate should be willing to learn.

All applicants should use the Worcestershire Local Authority non-teaching appointment application form, available on line from Worcestershire LA, the school website, or from the school office.
Closing date for applications is 17th September at midnight.
Interviews will be held in school on Friday 24th September 2021. Times to be confirmed.
We look forward to hearing from you.
