Are you passionate about Staffordshire?

Do you have bags of enthusiasm, ideas and energy to help put our county on the map, bringing our inspiring business stories to life through events, eye-catching marketing and media? If so, we want to hear from you!

In 2020, Staffordshire business, education and public sector organisations came together to develop a new story and approach to promoting and marketing the county. This involved understanding what makes Staffordshire special, competitive, and distinct from other places – bringing it all together in a new brand narrative that is now known as the ‘Staffordshire Story’.

After six successful months developing a bold new strategy and delivering a programme of activities, Staffordshire County Council is now seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible marketing all-rounder to help take this exciting new chapter for Staffordshire forward.

We’re looking for someone with experience in supporting the delivery of events, who is well-versed in running social media campaigns and accounts and a keen eye for a good news story to raise our profile, whilst not being afraid to get in touch with regional and national journalists to really ‘sell’ Staffordshire.

We’re right at the start of our journey and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative, developing and delivering creative approaches to promoting Staffordshire.

This role works alongside and reports into the Place Brand Manager as well as our Place Board of business leaders to shape our new place marketing strategy and deliver great campaigns. You’ll also work collaboratively with our partner teams at ‘Make It Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire and Enjoy Staffordshire.

If this sounds like a good match to your skills, we look forward to hearing from you. In return we can offer you a diverse and truly rewarding role with a competitive salary & benefits package within a driven, supportive and high-performing team at Staffordshire County Council.

This Authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
