Data Quality Officer (Grade 7)
Salary: £23,541 - £27,041 per annum
37 Hours per week – permanent contract
An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and motivated Accountancy team, helping Staffordshire to face the issues currently challenging local government.
Our Accountancy Division provides a range of services with the aim of providing strategic financial advice, securing the stewardship of assets, supporting effective decision making and enabling good financial management.
Applicants should be AAT qualified with a minimum of two years experience working in a financial environment (candidates without the AAT qualification who can demonstrate relevant experience will be considered).
The role is centred around the financial administration of the council’s staff benefits and payroll deductions. The most significant aspect of this work is the administration of our staff car leasing scheme.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the processes and controls required to maintain the integrity and quality of financial records. Applicants must have good numeric and literacy skills, be effective in their use of spreadsheet and word-processing tools and capable of retrieving and manipulating information for the production of reports.
The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across disciplines and to work flexibly and creatively to meet changing priorities
