We are looking to appoint a full-time teaching assistant to join our team. This role is fixed term, for 1 year in the first instance, and is to support a child 1-1 in reception, who has an autistic learning profile.
You will support the pupil with particular emphasis on supporting the needs identified in their EHCP and enabling them to operate with increasing independence.
The successful candidate will:
•Be an experienced and hard-working practitioner;
•Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team;
•Be able to use their own initiative;
•Be able to work with children on an individual basis and work with groups of children;
•Have high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour;
•Be committed to continuing professional development and growth in order to best meet to 1-1 needs of the child;
•Demonstrate a passion to support all children as life-long learners to meet their individual potential.
