Deputy Manager Pre-school

We need a committed, flexible, caring Deputy Manager from Autumn 2021.  A person with high standards of professional practice, able to support the manager in leading a happy  and well motivated professional team.  We provide excellent care for children at a variety of developmental stages (aged 2-4 years).  Westgate Pre-school's ethos of providing children with the best possible start in life is underpinned by the belief that support for each other, as well as for children and their families is key to achieving the best outcomes for all.

Your role as deputy manager includes: 

-The responsibility for keeping everyone safe, acting as the designated safeguarding lead in the absence of the Manager.

- Promoting high standards in the area of resources, the environment, teaching programmes and learning experiences to ensure rich and stimulating provision.

-Ensuring staff ratios are maintained and staff are effectively deployed

-Lead responsibilites are negotiable

Qualifications required:  minimum of Level 3 in Childcare with a minimum of 2 years experience in an Early Years setting.  Newly qualified teachers would also be considered.

A good knowledge of the new EYFS is essential
