Site Services Officer

Full Time, All Year Round, Grade 4 - £19,698- £23,080 per annum

Required to start as soon as possible

Are you motivated by knowing the things you do well will make a difference to the whole school community?  If so, come and visit us to find out more.

We are looking to appoint an organised site services officer to take pride in providing effective and responsive, customer focussed in-house maintenance and caretaking services.  You will have the best of both worlds by having fantastic scope to use your initiative to develop new systems, together with the supportive arm of a multi-academy Trust, whereby a helpful and knowledgeable team is at hand to assist you and make you feel valued.  Your contribution would help ensure we provide excellent quality of education for every child, helping these young people to grow into confident, independent learners.

Hill Farm is a thriving primary school that has benefitted from significant investment since being part of Caste Phoenix Trust.  We have replaced all doors, windows and the rooves and established a wonderful outdoor play area.  We have enhanced the meeting and safeguarding suite, developed many other facilities whilst maintaining well-kept grounds which enable our children to make the most of their play time and opportunity to provide learning experiences ‘outside of the classroom’.

You will have experience of repairs and maintenance, and relevant trades (including carpentry, plumbing, heating, painting) as well as building works in a similar environment.  Ideally you will have had experience in planning preventative maintenance and cleaning in order to manage a wide range of responsibilities including whole site security, site and grounds repairs and maintenance and taking an agreed lead in health and safety checks and refurbishment projects.  Most importantly, you will have the will to go that extra mile to make a difference to the children at our school, the flexibility to be part of a great team and the communication and problem solving skills to resolve situations as they arise.

As a well-established, successful primary school working as part of a multi-academy trust, we can offer:

High quality, ongoing professional development as part of the Castle Phoenix Multi-Academy Trust

A supportive, friendly and hardworking staff team who are united in their drive to achieve the very best outcomes for every child;

Friendly, happy and well-behaved children who are keen and eager to learn

An excellent support network through our hardworking, committed staff

A chance to make a real difference to the lives of children

A range of benefits which includes cycle to work, free parking, the local government pension scheme and an employee discount scheme, generous holiday entitlement and a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives through our wellbeing committee and people strategy.

Visits and applications:  The Trust Facilities and Estates Manager would be delighted to meet you and talk about the opportunity, please email HumanResources@castlephoenixtrust.org.uk to book onto a visit.

Further information is available to download on www.wmjobs.co.ukwww.tes.co.ukhttps://castlephoenixtrust.org.uk/job-opportunities/ or by email from Emma Over, Trust HR Director, HumanResources@castlephoenixtrust.org.uk

Closing date: 17th September 2021 at 9.00 am

Interview date: TBC

This opportunity is for a non resident SSO and the hours of work will include varying shift patterns as identified in the job description between the hours of 6.45 am and 7.00 pm plus additional flexibility to support during the school day and evening lettings as required.  You will need a full driving licence and would need to be willing to use your own vehicle (with mileage allowance claimable).
