Business Support Officer (Directorate Specific Programme Management) - Ref: RT08421
Salary G5: £20,903 - £24,491 per annum
Fixed Term - 2 years
The Business Support Officer role is part of the Business Support Team and will have a specific requirement to provide support to the Programme Management Team in allocated areas of responsibility within programmes, projects, and other work managed by the Team, e.g. Growth Deal, Enterprise Zone, etc.
Within the Team you will:
- Support officers in providing high quality assistance and support on a range of commissioning and quality activities aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of programmes.
- Organise, co-ordinate and service a range of statutory multi agency forums.
- Liaise, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including councillors, senior managers, partners, employees and members of the public as required to ensure the effective performance of the service.
- Capture, analyse and evaluate data / information and produce mandatory and statutory reports / information which is appropriate for a range of audiences.
- Input, check and maintain a variety of electronic and paper based systems, external and internal records ensuring information is accurate and stored appropriately.
- Assist in the implementation and evaluation of processes, systems and technology to enable the effective management of data and information and improve council processes.
For this key role you will need excellent communication skills to be able to deal with a diverse range of relationships and a demanding workload that comes from the programmes and proven experience in the use of IT applications as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
