This is a permanent position at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy
for 25 hours Level 4 (Actual salary £11,137 - £12,086)
Our Lady of Grace is part of the Newman Catholic Collegiate. The Directors are seeking to
appoint a hardworking and committed Teaching Assistant (additional needs) to join our
enthusiastic team. Our Lady of Grace and its partner school, St. Mary’s Catholic Academy
are both rated outstanding by Ofsted and we are looking for a practitioner to complement our
outstanding team.
We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant (additional needs) who will:
 Support one child, sometimes within small groups, making the adjustments on a day
to day basis to ensure access to a differentiated and highly personalise curriculum.
 Be proactive and flexible in supporting the child’s needs
 Work closely with the SENCO and external agencies to deliver a personalised
programme of support to meet targets
 Support and maintain positive links between home and school by making parents feel
welcome
 Work collaboratively with several external agencies to draw upon skills, knowledge and
recommendation to help best support the child
 Have NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or recognised equivalent qualification)
 It would be beneficial if the post holder has had appropriate training or relevant
experience in using a range of language, communication and interaction techniques.
The successful applicant will be required to work Monday – Friday to meet the requirements
set out in the pupils Education Health Care Plan.
