The Role

Are you a well organised & driven person, keen on resolving often complex issues, based around Highways Development Control programming, coordination and management?

Worcestershire County Council in partnership with Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Council are excited to advertise a new Joint Programme Manager role for our Highways Development Control activity across the Malvern Hills & Wychavon Districts in Worcestershire.

At its heart the role is to provide for the effective project management of the overall programme of Highways Development Control section 278/38 activity in the defined Districts. In particular focusing on ensuring that the process for relevant schemes are progressing within the timescales agreed & key required elements within schemes are being met.

Alongside this a key feature of the successful candidate will be effective liaison & relationship management with the County Council’s Development Control team, consultants, developers, and planning officers, to maintain good progress of the overall programme of schemes at its key stages.

Your skills, knowledge & experience will include effective programme management, working on section 278/38 schemes, excellent relationship management, problem solving, stakeholder and local member awareness & the local planning environment.
