Staffordshire County Council has an ambitious vision for a connected Staffordshire, where everyone has the opportunity to prosper, be healthy and happy.
An opportunity has become available to support this vision within the County Council’s Community Highways team.
The purpose of this newly created post is to continually improve the customer experience of all Highway services across the county.
The main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain a Highways communication strategy that meets local community aspirations as well as national best practice and to monitor the progress of wider Highways teams across the service area in the implementation of the strategy.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills particularly in the production of digital content for a wide range of audiences including elected representatives, the public and Highway delivery teams.
They will also be able to: demonstrate a high level of diplomacy and political awareness; maintain a working knowledge of highway practices / legislative requirements; and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
The role will be based in Stafford but travel to Highway offices across the county is likely to be necessary.
