Arboretum Assistant – Ref: EE04321
18.5 hours per week – fixed term for 12 months.
Pay: Training Allowance of £17,842 pro rata to hours worked. 
Actual Training Allowance: £8,921 per annum.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with good customer service skills to provide administrative and customer support to the Walsall Arboretum Visitor Centre.

Based in the Visitor Centre, you will help to take bookings for sports activities and events – this will include maintaining databases, booking rooms for hire, learning to use financial systems and taking cash payments.  You will also help with other administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, typing of documents, responding to emails and dealing with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.

You should have a familiarity with computers, in particular Microsoft Office package, enjoy working as part of a team and hold or be willing to work towards a First Aid Certificate.
