9 Month Fixed Term Contracts

(possible extension subject to service requirements)

Salary:  £18,562 - £18,933 Based on a 37hour post (pro rata for part time)

Numerous exciting and challenging opportunities have arisen to join the Learning Disability Day Services for Worcestershire County Council in the above areas on a Fixed Term Contract.

Resource Centres are for individuals with very complex physical, mental health, learning disabilities and other related needs, which incorporate health action plans, eating and drinking plans, behaviour management plans and epilepsy.  Personal Care and dignity.  Some mobile, some in wheelchairs so moving and handling will be heavier at times.  Support to engage in meaningful activities that are person centred including engaging with the community.

You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic, have a sense of humour, with an ability to communicate both verbally and written.

Good recording skills are essential. Computer skills advantageous. Previous experience of supporting people with care and support needs would be an advantage; however an understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities is essential. We welcome applications from people who are able to use their own initiative but who are also excellent Team players. You will have a can-do attitude with an ability to support and enable individuals to access a wide range of community activities.

In return we will offer you full training, local government competitive salary and pension scheme, induction package with support and encouragement to develop personally.

Please contact Pam Render on 01905 844650 if you would like any further information
