You will manage the Council’s resourcing needs providing an end to end recruitment programme, offering your expert guidance in best practice, assessment centres and tailored recruitment campaigns.  In addition you will provide generalist HR support for the HR Officers in case work including disciplinary investigations, absence management, restructures etc. and  you will lead on the HR systems administration, ensuring data is kept up to date and accurate in a timely manner.

In order to undertake this challenging role, you must be Level 3 CIPD qualified or have a strong background in running recruitment campaigns ideally with HR generalist experience and be willing to undertake the professional qualifications. 

Knowledge and experience of Recruitment, ideally with the WMJ Talentlink system although this is not essential as training will be provided.  What is essential is that you are able to deal effectively with a varied workload with conflicting priorities and interruptions, whilst ensuring accuracy in maintaining the HR system in a timely manner.

You must also be IT literate with good Microsoft Office skills, have experience of computerised HR systems and be able to produce written material to a high standard as well as good maths understanding to assist with numbers-based calculations.

You will also possess developed interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with potentially demanding situations.

The location of this position will be office based across the various Worcester City Council facilities for a majority of the time with the option to have a number of days per week home based working.
