Job Title:  Outdoor Lead – Teaching and Learning (Cover)

Trust area of accountability: Glascote Academy

Grade: Grade 6 scp 15 

Working Pattern:  52 weeks per year (with holiday entitlement)

Working Hours:  Start date ASAP, 37 hours per week

Salary: £23,541 full time

Responsible to:  Headteacher

The Fierté Trust are looking to appoint a well organised, reliable and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Outdoor Lead at Glascote Academy.   We consider ourselves unique as we have our own School Community Farm.  Across the year we have a variety of animals including goats, pigs, chickens, calves, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and lambs.

You will ideally be confident in handling animals and have some animal care and or horticulture knowledge and experience, some understanding and experience of the National Curriculum and the confidence and personality to make outdoor learning links between the curriculum and Farm.

Qualifications will be considered, but above all we are looking for someone with the skills, personality and charisma to positively engage children in the national curriculum through a farm environment including managing appropriate behaviour with the support of other staff.
