Commissioning Intelligence Manager (Children's Social Care)
The Commissioning Intelligence Team (Children's Social Care) is part of a corporate research and intelligence function at the heart of the organisation. The team has a key role to play in ensuring both strategic and operational decisions relating to children's social care are based on robust evidence and insight. In particular, the team will be central to helping inform significant transformation activity over the next few years.
37.0 Hours per Week
We are looking for someone to lead a small team of analysts responsible for providing insight to colleagues in children's social care and the wider organisation. You will have considerable experience of working with children's social care data and have a strong understanding of the 'child's journey' through early intervention and care services. You will lead the delivery of accurate, timely, easily understandable business and commissioning information, covering all aspects of children's social care, presenting management information reports to a variety of audiences.
You will lead the delivery of statutory data collections, along with advising the organisation on best practice recording and reporting arrangements to support senior managers and their teams. You will draw upon your analytical skills, application of different software packages and experience of producing and manipulating complex data sets to lead your team in developing informative reports and recommendations for senior managers.
This role is fundamental to ensure that senior management and commissioners have the best intelligence available to them to support decision making and service delivery, allowing the effective targeting of resources within a challenging legislative and financial environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the organisation has high quality insight to help deliver transformation activity, and will represent the business intelligence team at relevant strategic boards and forums.
Although not essential, experience in using Business Objects and the Mosaic social care information system would be a significant advantage in this role.
