HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT
Scale 5 between £11.73 and £12.69 per hour,
36.25 hours per week: 08:30am to 04:15pm, term time only
Temporary until Summer 2022
Our Governors are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in school to support our children in their learning.
The Role will involve being responsible for specific interventions such as speech and language, pastoral care of children with social/emotional/behavioural needs, covering classes across the whole HLTA remit as and when necessary, the administration of First Aid (training will be provided), and general day to day HLTA requirements.
The post holder will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of classroom resources, and be willing to undertake other relevant and statutory training.
It is essential that the post holder:
- Is a qualified HLTA with exceptional classroom practice and who has a passion for developing children’s learning.
- Has high expectations and an understanding of raising achievement.
- Is creative, dynamic and a positive team member.
- Is qualified in Literacy and Maths to at least GCSE standard.
- Has good ICT skills
- Has experience of working in KS1 and EYFS.
