Level 2 Teaching Assistant

The Role

We are looking for two experienced, reliable, strong TA2s to work with children with an Educational Health Care Plans in KS1 and KS2.
The positions are fixed term, and renewed annually whilst the child remains on the school roll.

Please state on your application if you have a preference to work in KS1 or KS2.

The positions will initially be 25 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days, but you will be required to attend staff meetings and training etc for which additional payment will be made.

Key Requirements

We are looking to appoint two experienced TAs who are able to demonstrate:-

Experience in working with children with communication and interaction difficulties. Experience in working with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. An awareness of how anxiety and low self esteem can impact on a child's day at school. Empathy and compassion to help a child who may experience unregulated feelings and emotions throughout the school day. An understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the impact this would have upon a young person. An awareness of the variety of different sensory needs and how this could impact upon a child's day at school. Willingness to learn and use new strategies to support the young person.
