Herefordshire is a dynamic and growing county. It has areas of outstanding natural beauty and sites of special scientific interest, with wildlife and conservation sites throughout the County. Not only is Herefordshire popular with those seeking to experience the outdoors, the County’s entrepreneurial spirit and room to grow has proved fruitful to business. As a council, we’re relatively small but, we think, perfectly formed. We’re proud to say that people who come here consistently comment on the warm welcome they receive. We’re recognised as ‘punching above our weight’ and part of the beauty of our size is the ability to get things to done, often in creative and innovative ways.

We’re now seeking a Procurement Officer to support the delivery of procurement activity across the council. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time. We have recently appointed our new Chief Executive and, over the next 12 months, we will be leading the council’s adoption of a new social value strategy whilst also supporting the achievement of the council’s Delivery Plan and you will play a leading role in helping the council achieve its social value ambitions through commercial practice.

Join us in helping to make Herefordshire an even better place to do business, visit and live. We can’t wait to hear from you.
