The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils in year 6 with complex needs. This will be on a temporary contract for the duration of their funding.
You will be required to work closely with pupils in a group or on a one to one basis and ideally must be 'Team Teach' trained.
We are looking for a person who is kind, caring and committed who has experience of working with children with complex learning difficulties and can demonstrate an understanding of social, emotional and developmental needs.
The hours of work will be 26.25 hours per week on a term time basis (plus training days) Hours of work are 8.45am to 3.15pm.

Key Requirements
Have experience of working with SEN pupils.
Have a genuine interest in teaching and supporting SEN pupils.
Be able to deal with challenging behaviour.
Have a patient and creative approach.
Knowledge and understanding of how children develop.
A calm approach and ability to engage and support learning of a child with complex needs.
Good communication skills with class teacher, SENDCo and parents as appropriate.
Demonstrates initiative in the classroom and wider school.
Is conscientious, hard working and enthusiastic.
Is willing to complete additional training.
Is NVQ Level 2 qualified.
