Safeguarding and Pupil Well-being Officer: Grade 7
The Governors of Fulfen Primary School are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding & Pupil Wellbeing Officer:
20 hours per week (4 hours per day) Permanent
This is a full year role and you will work during some of the school holidays.
FTE £23,541 - £27,041 per year pro rata
Actual salary £12,725 - £14,617 per year.

We are seeking to appoint a professional, well-educated and enthusiastic individual to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to safeguard the school community and promote pupil wellbeing.
This is a varied role working closely with parents, carers, the safeguarding team as well as the wider school staff adhering to the school’s safeguarding procedures and policies to promote the welfare and protection of all pupils.
The job descriptions outlines in detail the main duties for the role which includes working as a DSL to deal with day to day concerns etc. alongside the Lead DSL and the promotion and support of young people’s wellbeing and mental health.
Applicants should be an excellent communicator, able to work on their own initiative, under pressure and have the ability to prioritise to meet demands and deadlines. You should possess a natural ability to build relationships easily with children, parents and external agencies.
The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality and sensitivity at all times. You will have previous experience of working with children and young people either in a school or through another agency and an up to date knowledge of safeguarding and current wellbeing initiatives around young people.
