Teaching Assistant to support child with SEN 

Grade 2 Term Time Only 21.5 hours per week 

Salary Points 1-3  £17842-£18562 FTE (Actual Salary £8957-£9318)

Required immediately. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support an individual with an EHCP in Year 4. The contract is fixed term in the first instance to the end of the academic year, as it is linked to a child with EHCP funding. 

You will need 

  • To bring learning to life;
  • A good sense of humour;
  • To have high expectations and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child;
  • An understanding of ASC
  • To be able to communicate effectively with the child, parents, colleagues and outside agencies; 
  • To establish good working relationships with the class teacher, SENDCo and outside agencies;
  • To have good organisational skills, keeping detailed records and updating assessments; 
  • To provide support for families and ensure partnership with home and school; 
  • To develop your own personal practice; 
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent (desirable); 
  • To use initiative to work in a one-to-one or small group setting.
