Summit Learning Trust are looking to appoint a highly motivated Restaurant Assistant to assist the Catering Team in the provision of efficient and effective catering support of the school site. The kitchen is a busy operation offering a food service to over 1450 students, 150 staff and visitors to the School. The team is comprised of Chefs and General Catering Assistants who are responsible for delivering high quality food from scratch providing breakfast, lunch and buffets.

The successful candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a catering environment. Other essential skill sets involve the ability to be able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calm under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times. It is desirable for candidates have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety or equivalent qualification.

Purpose of Role:

• to work as part of a team in a busy canteen environment. To support the Catering Manager with deliveries, this may involve some heavy lifting and to promote the importance of customer service to all
