Contract Type: Fixed term till 31 October 2022 to cover for absences of permanent staff

Victoria College is a 19-25 provision for students with significant complex needs including a combination of physical, sensory, learning and medical difficulties. Federated with Cherry Oak School and Victoria School, Victoria College provides students with an outstanding education in a caring environment.

We require an additional Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in the development and education of students, including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate and demonstrating competence across a varied range of responsibilities.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• their knowledge, skills and experience of supporting students with special needs

• their knowledge and skills in maintaining a safe, happy and secure environment for students to thrive in

• the ability to consistently implement and develop support strategies for students

• the experience of assisting with the identification of progress in learners

• the passion and commitment to supporting young people with Complex and Profound Special Needs

• a minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification

• the required level 3 supporting teaching and learning qualification
