About Us and The Role

Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team. We recruit foster carers, assess them, take applicants to our virtual fostering panel and offer our Warwickshire foster carers training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team and have a Fostering Placement Hub. We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers. We are fortunate to have a psychologist who is based in our team. In addition to this Warwickshire offers wide ranging training. Our staff group is made up of fostering support workers and social workers. Our team is growing to match the needs of the children in Warwickshire. The role of the Supervising Social Worker is a key position that brings together the needs of looked after children and young people with the support and management of foster carers.For this post we are looking to recruit a Fostering Supervising Social Worker a permanent contract to work full-time. In this role you would support your carers with regular supervision, support at all professionals meetings and work alongside the Childrens Teams. You would complete annual reviews and attend Warwickshire Fostering Panel when necessary. Your work will be child focused, analytical and based on safeguarding evidence.  Your role would be to secure permanency for our children. We are offering this role so that we can meet the needs of increasingly growing fostering service.
