About our Academy

Our Multi Academy Trust includes Grove Academy, Hamilton Academy and Northwood Broom Academy.  This position is ideally suited to a qualified teacher who has not yet completed their NQT year and wishes to gain further experience, however, applications will be considered from anyone with a level 3 qualification or above. We are a larger-than-average, 4 form entry junior school with fabulous children and an extremely friendly, supportive and energetic staff team.  We want the best for our children in every way and work hard to give this to them.  We follow a nurturing approach to behaviour management, based on Paul Dix’s work, and founded in high expectations of everyone and restorative conversations. The successful candidate will work to a class teacher’s job description but will not have responsibility for their own class. Duties will include:

  • covering for classes when needed (classes from Year 3 to Year 6)
  • providing small group and 1:1 tutoring
  • covering lunch duties
  • before and / or after school booster sessions for Y6
  • after school clubs

Our children need an excellent educator who:

  • Has high expectations of learning & behaviour
  •
  • Is driven, enthusiastic & highly motivated
  • Is able to establish fantastic relationships with children
  • Will work with outside agencies to ensure that they are accessing the best provision possible to support any additional needs of children in their care

  • Community focused academies with a focus on whole school improvement
  • A dedicated, hardworking & able team of teachers & support staff
