Job Details

Just imagine, this is your opportunity to make that school to school move you always promised yourself as a teacher. At Temple Meadow we have an opportunity for you to join an excellent Teacher and Learning team; one in which you will thrive and excel. This opportunity has arisen due to one of our excellent teachers achieving a significant promotion as Deputy at another school.

We are looking for an experienced KS2 teacher who has led subjects with flare in their career to date. The position will involve leading a subject. I leave it to you to expand on the subject or subjects you’d love to lead and the ideas you have to make your subject high impact. This post is not suitable for an NQT; neither is it suitable for a secondary teacher. Ideally you will have experience of urban Local Authorities such as Sandwell and an understanding of the range of diverse needs that affect school life. Just our safeguarding and care of pupils is phenomenal.

We need you to be a highly effective teacher, with a passion for meeting the diverse needs of our pupils. You need to be a consummate professional. You will be adaptable and flexible. We are just what you need, in terms of further developing your teaching and leadership skills. We set great store by developing CPD opportunities through staff training; coaching and mentoring; and working with external providers. We have a distinct learning culture that makes things irresistible, in which we use  many collaborative techniques that engage learners. We are very innovative; we work together on solving the problems each year brings. All our curriculum subjects are well developed with really exciting and engaging learning journeys; we have easy to use smart assessment systems for all subjects. Joining us you take on a subject already in a very good place, so you have that wonderful opportunity to further enrich it and embellish it to take it into the stratosphere!

Our aim with this advert is to attract a teacher that is really imaginative and innovative and who wants to build their career with a school that is forward thinking.

We are all really proud of our school; we offer a vibrant and stimulating learning environment. We really do have the most fantastic pupils with excellent behaviour and attitude to learning.  All of our learning environments are really engaging, colourful and support independent learning.

We value staff well being and have a Temple Meadow staff reward policy.

Applications should be submitted directly to the school office, either in person or via email to tm.admin@meadow.sandwell.sch.uk. Application packs can be downloaded from the Local Authority website, as well as the school website. Potential applicants are very welcome to contact the school on 01384 569021 for a discussion prior to application.

Temple Meadow is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS clearance is therefore required for this role.
