Job Title: Home Improvement Agency Surveyor Team Leader Contract: Permanent Location: Plough Lane Office Hours: 37 Salary: £29,577 to £33,782 Closing date: Thursday 30th September 2021 Interview: Thursday 8th October 2021 Home Improvement Agency Surveyor Team Leader The Home Improvement Agency (HIA) is based within the Council’s Adults and Communities Directorate and provides a front line customer focused service for the provision of advice, grant funded adaptations, essential repairs and minor adaptations for adults and children living in their own homes. The team comprises an essential part of the Independent Living Services, which includes Occupational Therapy (Equipment and Adaptations) and Telecare staff, and as such is well placed to work closely with a range of other colleagues involved in supporting people to remain living safely at home. The post holder will act as supervising officer for the surveyors and technicians within the HIA and be responsible for ensuring high quality technical services and the day to day management of the teams activities, promoting an effective and value for money service in accordance with legislative requirements, agreed performance targets and required Quality Mark standards. The post holder will work closely with the case co-ordinator/ performance manager to ensure that management systems are fit for purpose, accurate and that case management and allocation is recorded appropriately. Where required the post holder will hold a small caseload of complex cases. You will have substantial experience of building construction/ technology, excellent working knowledge of current legislation and guidance for this area of work, be able to use CAD design or similar, and be keen to maintain or develop your skills in management of a team.
