We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant in the Legal Services Department, to work with a highly motivated and close-knit team.


The role is to provide efficient and confidential administrative support to the Legal Services Team and is wide ranging and involves a variety of tasks ranging from distributing the post, file opening, updating and records management, dealing with basic queries, sealing documents, assisting with requests for information and assisting in the preparation of legal documentation and court bundles.

This role is Part-time at 25 hours per week and Fixed term until 31st March 2022
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills to prioritise a diverse workload and working with the legal services team to meet strict deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing dealing with enquiries, through varying mediums, consistent with the provision of a first line support service and ensuring messages are passed onto relevant persons for action ensuring confidentiality where required. Experience in using MS-Office and databases is essential as is a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
We are looking for candidates with;


• Educated to level 2 on the National Qualification Framework. Including English and Maths • Experience of providing administrative support, preferably in a legal environment • Experience of producing documentation within set guidelines to a high standard • Experience of using MS-Office, ICT applications and databases • The ability to maintain confidentiality • A flexible, proactive approach • Good oral and written communication skills • Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally • The ability to organise and prioritise a diverse workload and meet strict targets and deadlines • The ability to work within a team and at times on your own initiative, exercising and relying on own judgement • Physically able to carry out the duties of the role, which include retrieving files and delivering to fee earners.
