Site Operative - Learning4Life
Learning4Life is the highly successful community learning provision within The Wordsley School.
Its main purpose is providing Adult Education classes, both daytime and evening, to over 650 adult learners a week, a Swim School which operates 7 days a week to over 400 children and hire of facilities to numerous external organisations outside of core school hours.
Due to the recent completion of a multi million pound sports complex on site, we now require Site Operatives to work as part of a team to continue to provide an exceptional service to over 1500 service users per week. This figure continues to grow following the COVID pandemic as services slowing resume normality.
We have 2 x Job Share positions available:
Monday / Tuesday / Saturday – 18.5 hours
Thursday / Friday / Sunday – 18.5 hours
Weekly hours to be worked flexibly in line with service demands.
The main purpose of the job is:
- To support Learning 4 Life in the efficient and effective running of the site in respect of site services. Maintaining a safe, clean and hazard free environment.
- To support site services in order to facilitate the effective teaching and learning of Learning 4 Life students and the use of the school which is utilised by staff and students who occupy it during classes.
- To support services in order to prevent any Health and Safety risks occurring within the school. Undertake the necessary training and be fully compliant in the ability to conduct First Aid, as and when required.
- Assist in upholding site compliance and ensure activities are carried out in line with Learning 4 Life and the Wordsley School requirements, recorded accurately and within time constraints.
