Residential Worker

Salary:  £22,183-£25,481 (this includes 2SCP for weekend Woking) – Plus Sleep In Allowance when required. 

37 Hours per week – Permanent

Stafford Short Breaks based in the town of Stafford is a 5-bedded Children’s service that offers “short breaks” to young people who are deemed to be on the edge of care.

This incredibly rewarding role involves supporting young people who need a nurturing and caring environment for 1-3 overnight stays nights a week.

We require a committed, vibrant, fun and highly motivated person to work with young people aged 11-18 years of age. The role requires you to support young people in achieving positive outcomes in all areas of their lives.

The role involves key working, transporting to and from home and school, attending meetings such as CIN and Safeguarding along with undertaking direct work with young people. The willingness to engage in physical activities is a must and vital part of this role.

Working at Stafford Short Breaks is both challenging and rewarding and will require a high level of resilience.  You will need a minimum of Level 3 Childcare Diploma or equivalent and also must hold a full driving licence as this role does involve transporting young people. Having experience of working with young people of the age range 11-18 years of age in a residential setting is a bonus.

This role involves working shifts 06.45am-2pm and 1.30pm-9.15pm, working every other weekend and sleep in duties.
