Overview and Scrutiny Support Officer
The Council operates an Overview and Scrutiny function and are looking for an officer to provide focused support to the Committee on matters such as cross-cutting reviews, strategic policy and scrutiny of decisions.
You will ideally have experience of working within a public or political organisation, and be confident in the workings of a local authority with knowledge of relevant legislation. Experience of carrying out research or consultation is essential as is an ability to communicate well with tact and diplomacy. You will also take pride in being organised and thorough in your work.
